Samantha has over 12 years yoga experience and qualified in 2009 as a yoga instructor after completing her 200 hr teacher training programme with Union Yoga (Edinburgh), taught by Brian Cooper and Nawajyoti.  She has also completed 40 hrs Ashtanga Yoga teacher training with David Swenson and over the years has received a wealth of knowledge and inspiration from local yoga teacher Sheila Dickson (www.sheiladicksonyoga.com) as well as others.  She remains grateful to all her teachers and continues her learning through personal practice and attending regular workshops.  Samantha is a member of Yoga Alliance Professionals in the UK.  Classes are fully insured and she is a trained first aider.

"For me, yoga is an essential part of my everyday life and continues to teach and inspire me.  I first began to practice yoga to make me feel better after suffering from endometriosis.  I was amazed at how quickly my aches and pains seemed to fade away as my practice grew stronger.   I soon realised how yoga helped with my stressful job, could combine easily with other physical training and increase my stamina, flexibility and mobility.  It's not only the physical aspect of yoga that I benefit from... I have learned to listen to my body intuitively and through reflection have found an inner balance and stability that I draw upon to help cope with lifes challenges!  Best of all, I haven't had to make drastic changes to my life in order to benefit!  

I am now happy and honoured to be able to teach and inspire others on their own unique yoga journey.  My advice for anyone entering the world of yoga is:  keep an open mind, rise to the challenges and enjoy the difference it makes in your life".
